The scheme is located in
district Khuzdar, about 50 km north-east of Khuzdar. Access to subproject site
from Khuzdar is through M-8 motorway, which connects to a dirt road crossing
Mula river basin boundary in, fair-weather on north-east side of M-8. The
subproject consists of a weir with conveyance system and flood protection bunds
at Manyalo for irrigating command area of 680 ha under cultivation out of which
314 ha is already under cultivation, while 366 ha will be additional command
area. After construction of sub-project, 10 villages, namely Manyalo, Khair,
Karrech , Raiko on right bank and Malki, Bhoko, Jakhar, saboz, Thatt and Rind
Ali on left bank will come under cultivation.
